What is a cookie?

A cookie is a text file of limited size deposited by the browser and stored on your terminal when you visit a website. The term “cookies” is to be taken here in the broadest sense and covers all tracers deposited or read during the consultation of the Site, the reading of an e-mail, the installation of a software or the use of a mobile application.

There are different types of cookies: technical cookies that facilitate navigation on the Site (pre-filled form fields, for example); proprietary cookies deposited by the publisher of the Site on which you are browsing or by one of its subcontractors, as well as third-party cookies that come from the elements displayed on the Site’s pages.

When you visit the Site, we may, subject to your choices, install cookies on your browser. When you log on to the Site using the same terminal, the browser can use the cookie data and transmit it to the Site.

The deposited cookies are important for the proper functioning of the Site and allow in particular to perform the following operations:

  • To store information relating to a form you have filled out on the Site
  • To allow the technical and administrative functioning of the Site
  • To measure the audience of people browsing the Site
  • Collect statistics in order to optimize the functionality of the Site
  • Some cookies can already be deposited on your terminal and others require the user’s consent. When a cookie requiring the consent of the Internet user is likely to be deposited on your terminal equipment, a banner informs you of its presence. As long as you have not continued your navigation on the Site or simply scrolled down a page of the Site, we will not deposit cookies on your terminal equipment (computer, cell phone for example).

What cookies do we use?

The cookies that are likely to be deposited on your computer terminal can be divided into four main categories: technical cookies, audience measurement cookies, commercial cookies and social network cookies.

For each category of cookies, we indicate information concerning the name of the cookie deposited, the depositor (us or a third party), its function, its duration of conservation and the possible means of opposition (are only exempted from the opposition of deposit, the cookies which are necessary for the technical operation of the Site)
